Stimulus funds provide up to $64,000 in Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement for physicians who are using an EMR. Physicians who have not adopted an EMR will have their Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements penalized. Enhanced Billing and Collections: The program includes a three-year contract for Revenue Cycle Management services. ProSperus will perform the billing, collection and monthly reporting services for the practice for 6.95% of gross collections. This amount may vary based on the size of the practice and the amount of hardware, installation and training costs.
Monthly Reporting and Practice Analytics: ProSperus offers detailed reporting and analytics on the financial health of the practice. Clients have access to a library of over 20 standard reports including A/R Analysis, MTD/YTD Revenue Analysis, Service Mix Analysis, Top 20 Procedure Analysis, Activity by Insurance Class, Lagged Collections, Denial Management, etc. All of these are available online via a protected internet login. Monthly summary reports are available within 1-3 days after the close of each business month in electronic format.
